About RDA

RDA specializes in Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) systems, systems prototyping, R&D services, acoustic analysis systems, digital acoustic enhancement, DSP, and systems engineering. Incorporated in 1986, RDA has offices in Doylestown, Pennsylvania; Warrenton, Virginia; and Lexington Park, Maryland.

RDA’s technical team possesses a unique concentration of critical acoustical engineering skills and experience that can be found in no other company. We have gained this experience by providing critical technical leadership on some of the Navy’s most advanced sonar programs.

Anti-Submarine Warfare

Systems Engineering

Our engineers work in concert with technologists, policy experts, and management consultants to develop solutions that work. Together, they help solve some of the most pressing engineering and applied science issues facing federal, defense, and civilian agencies.

Acoustics Research and Development

With a specialized expertise spanning 20 years, RDA has established a key process to develop a picture that highlights the level of a potential threat. Our engineers oversee the management and monitoring of sound-producing vibrations in an aquatic setting. From understanding the technical difference of migrating marine animals to an underwater enemy, RDA can readily enhance the sonar signal to provide our clients with the results they need.

Prototype Development

Our Prototype Department incorporates new and existing technological capabilities into multiple platforms. RDA designs and develops a system, manages the flight clearance process, integrates it into the desired platform, and develops a test & mission plan.

DSP Software Development

RDA focuses on systems engineering and digital signal processing (DSP) for sonar systems.

COTS Integration

RDA has the subject matter expertise to integrate COTS tools into its own custom application to meet any mission requirements. COTS tools are adapted to fit the needs of clients and can be fitted into each unique platform to demonstrate the possibilities. After a thorough testing process, the COTS product is fitted to a certain set of military requirements and specifications to be used onboard their intended platforms.
