Description: SDi has designed a real-time simulation based on a cognitive architecture of intelligent agents (modeling manned military systems) combined with a swarm intelligence architecture (modeling unmanned systems). The “output” of this simulation manifests itself as an evolving, digital “Field Manual” or “Playbook.” It describes both tactics and techniques, as well as acts as a data source for assessing the feasibility of proposed force structure and hardware procurement.
Primary Objective: SDi is developing Emergent Swarm in order to discover, document, and provide predictive analysis for the weapons and tactics required for future Multi-Domain Operations by US forces.
Innovation: EMERGENT SWARM is designed to be a fully configurable, operational-level simulation that models Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) in real time and provides a robust interface for experimentation and result analysis, without the expense and ambiguity of live exercises. SDi sees this approach as overcoming the limitation of current military simulations, as well as providing a methodology for continuous, tactically-feasible MDO combat experimentation as the nature and technology associated with modern combat evolves.
SDi has designed a system of mathematical models that use the idea of community structure in complex networks for the foundation for COVID-19 spread prediction and defines the network based…
SDi is developing an innovative way to enhance the capability of both OPFOR and BLUFOR wargame participants by providing a platform that will complement their own operational abilities.
